Choristers should wear comfortable clothing, and bring a WATER BOTTLE only. Ensure that the singer has had a good meal before the recording session, and, if you can, please bring a healthy, nut-free snack to contribute to our break session. Excellent deportment is expected, as always.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!

7. Thank you, parents!

Courtesy of Sue White, I’d like to share a job description with you busy families. Thank you for all you do!

POSITION :

Mom, Mommy, Mama, Ma

Dad, Daddy, Dada, Pa, Pop

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Long-term team players needed, for challenging, permanent work in an often chaotic environment.

Candidates must possess excellent communication

and organizational skills and be willing to work

variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends

and frequent 24 hour shifts on call.

Some overnight travel required, including trips to

primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports

tournaments in far away cities!

Travel expenses not reimbursed.

Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

The rest of your life.

Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily,

until someone needs $5.

Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly.

Also, must possess the physical stamina of a

pack mule

and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat

in case, this time, the screams from

the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.

Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges,

such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets

and stuck zippers.

Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and

coordinate production of multiple homework projects.

Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings

for clients of all ages and mental outlooks.

Must be willing to be indispensable one minute,

an embarrassment the next.

Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a

half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices.

Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

Must assume final, complete accountability for

the quality of the end product.

Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and

janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION :

None.

Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without

complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills,

so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

None required unfortunately.

On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGE S AND COMPENSATION :

Get this! You pay them!

Offering frequent raises and bonuses.

A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because

of the assumption that college will help them

become financially independent.

When you die, you give them whatever is left.

The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that

you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS :

While no health or dental insurance, no pension,

no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and

no stock options are offered;

this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth,

unconditional love,

and free hugs and kisses for life if you play your cards right.

This to all our PARENTS in appreciation for

everything they do on a daily basis.

Know you are appreciated

for the fabulous job you do!

Happy holidays from VIVA!

Prep Chorus – Words for December 2011 Concert

Inuit Vignette

Northern lights, cold sky aglow,

Shining, shimmering.

Crystal silence, Arctic snow

Sparkling, glistening, breathing.

Ancient legends whisper low,

Humming, murmuring.

Inuit child in the snow,

Watching, wondering, waiting,

Praying.

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
Until morning is nipgh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And fit us for heaven
To live with Thee there

Little Drummer Boy

Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

So to honor Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.

Little Baby, pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too, pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?

Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,

Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.

Sleigh Ride – Sing-a-long

Just hear those sleigh bells jing-a-ling
Ring ting ting-a-ting too
C’mon it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling “Yoo hoo”
C’mon it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together

Giddy-up giddy-up giddy-up let’s go
Let’s look at the show
We’re riding in a wonderland of snow
Giddy-up giddy-up giddy-up it’s grand
Just holding your hand
We’re riding along with a song
Of a wintery fairyland

Our cheeks are nice and rosy
And comfy cozy are we
We snuggle close together
Like two birds of a feather would be
Let’s take that road before us
And sing a chorus or two
C’mon it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you

There’s a birthday party
At the home of Farmer Grey
It’ll be the perfect ending
Of a perfect day
We’ll be singing the songs we love to sing
Without a single stop
At the fireplace where
We’ll watch the chestnuts pop
Pop pop pop

There’s a happy feeling
Nothing in this world can buy
When they pass around
The coffee and the pumpkin pie
It’ll nearly be like
A picture print by Currier & lives
These wonderful things
Are the things
We remember all through our lives
These wonderful things

Just hear those
Sleigh bells jing-a-ling
Ring ting ting-a-ting too
C’mon it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
